Black women face maternal mortality rates 4.5x that of their nonblack counterparts—regardless of education level, financial status, or state of health.
Since our pilot launch in March 2026, Operation Safe Birth has been on a mission to reduce Black and Brown maternal mortality rates and improve maternal health outcomes in the United States, starting with New York State.
